Comprising an endurance trek, motorbike rally, shinty match and Highland Ceilidh, the challenge is organised by veterans of the 4th Royal Tank Regiment. The military heritage this event is remembered in recognition of the blue shoulder flashes worn by members of the Regiment.
Our purpose is to raise funds for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, the national charity which supports bereaved children of UK Armed Forces, and to promote awareness of the needs of military familes where loss has been experienced.
We acknowledge and honour the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals regardless of gender, ability or ethnic origin and pledge to respect the needs and requirements of all who participate or attend our planned events. We support community empowerment, anti discrimination, collective action, and social justice and equality.
Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a charity dedicated to supporting bereaved British Forces children and young people.
Inspired by the experience of Army widow Nikki Scott, the charity honours husband Corporal Lee Scott’s memory – both as a loyal soldier and a loving father – and provides a practical yet personal way for the public at large to show their appreciation for those brave individuals who make the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country.
